For more than 20 years that villagers of Ban Nong Khruea Bun are attached to the weaving, especially the weaving of Thai tartans (Pha Khao Ma). Currently, the villagers have developed products from Thai tartans until they become five star OTOP (One Tambon One Product/ the best product of a sub-district) of Nong Nam Sai Sub-district, Pha Chi District, Ayutthaya Province. The tartans from the village are also selected by the Ministry of Culture as the prototype materials for making clothes in the project to promote the use of Thai fabric in A.D. 2013.

Villagers of Ban Nong Khruea Bun Village began the weaving activity in A.D. 1992 when the Bureau of the Royal Household taught them to weave so that they could generate side-incomes in addition to incomes from their rice fields. Later, they applied the knowledge to weaving Thai tartans and set up the group until their products are regarded as crafts with quality in the nationwide level.

Nowadays, people and students visit the group to learn about the works. Tourists can also visit the group to learn about the weaving and buy cheap products.
