Inside this monument compound, there is the Thai house museum. Originally, this Thai house was a European wooden building in a raft house styles. Later, this older than 100 years building was modified to have traditional Thai roof. Inner walls and door panels are carved with Thai-Chinese motifs that look very beautiful. This Thai house serves as a museum of household decorative items and utensils used in those days and things related to this elder statesman including photographs of life, works and related events. Pridi Banomyong Monument is no statue of Professor Pridi Banomyong but it is a symbol that reflects his 6 important ideals. Thus, this monument was built with alloy in the form of 6 pillars supporting the Thai house in a round pond, encompassed with water. The calmness of water symbolizes peace. Under the roof, there is eternal light shining and representing the eternity of his ideas. This museum is open everyday except Mondays and Tuesdays.
