Candy floss spring roll was invented by Bang Pia (Pia the Muslim) aka Salem Saeng-arun, a Muslim man who was born in Ayutthaya Province u worked as a dessert cook in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, where he discovered the way to make long candy floss. In 1A.D. 1963, he moved back to Ayutthaya and began to make candy floss spring rolls. He sold his candy floss spring rolls on bicycle that he biked to sell his products to many places.

When Pia got married and had offspring, his business expanded until it has been firmly established and ready to disseminate the knowledge on candy floss spring roll making technique to people in the province.
