With the objective to honor His Majesty King Rama IX for His Majesty 84th Birthday Anniversary on 5th December A.D. 2011, at the center of His Majesty King Rama IX Honorary Park (Hantra Field), there is the Buddha image in blessing posture, which was built in the occasion of 2,600th Anniversary of enlightenment of Lord Buddha who had subdued all lusts and demons. Behind the Buddha image, there is the alto rilievo statue of His Majesty King Rama IX holding a sickle in his hands surrounded with 9 symbols to represent Hid Majesty’s 9 auspicious occasions, as follows:

The symbol of 25th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Succession to the Throne (A.D. 1971);

The symbol of  His Majesty’s 60th Birthday Anniversary (A.D. 1987);

The symbol to represent that His Majesty is the longest reigning king of Thailand (A.D. 1971);

The symbol of 50th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Succession to the Throne (A.D. 1996);

The symbol of His Majesty King Rama IX;

The symbol of  His Majesty’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary (A.D. 1999);

The symbol of 60th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Succession to the Throne (A.D. 2006);

The symbol of  His Majesty’s 80th Birthday Anniversary (A.D. 2007);and

The symbol of  His Majesty 84th Birthday Anniversary (A.D. 2011).

Around the area, there are replicas of significant places of Ayutthaya such as Phra Si Sanphet Temple and Ban Phachi Train Station. There is a swamp, which is a place for people, especially local people in Hantra neighborhood, to have leisure activities.Every evening, people will jog. There is also a bicycle lane around the area. There are also bikes for rent which cost 20 baht each.

Traveling Tip: The Monument of Loyalty, King Rama IX Honorary Park (Hantra Field), from the junction at Asia Road, turn left (3053) at the junction, there is a big arch that is noticeable. The junction is around 6.5 km away from the motorway to Ayutthaya City. Goin and turn left (3061) at the intersection and go directly to the entrance to Hantra Field.
